We are talking about life-shifting: losing the life you have to gain the life you want. I talk about unwillingly moving my life in Bethesda to the beach on the eastern shore of Maryland – and how painful that transition was for me. My co-host Michele Wilson talks about the resilience of the human spirit – the “bounce-back” as she calls it – that hoists you back on your feet after life knocks you on your ass. Before that, I open the show with “Right Livelihood: When Your Work Becomes Your Ministry.” In our second hour, Michele interviews Dionne Polite, associate state director of multicultural initiatives at AARP New York, who discusses that group’s “Life Reimagined” online program (lifereimagined.org) that guides participants through the process of renewing, reimagining and reinventing their lives. We end the show with Dante Bonner’s “Word of the Week” (Time). (The Robert Wesley Branch Show #204: Renew, Reimagine and Reinvent Yourself – originally broadcast on Saturday, February 28, 2015.)
